Shot as part of the newly introduced Virtual Production elective at USTP, Goldstaubkapitän combines real and virtual environments to tell its story. It's one of the first student projects at USTP to run through a complete production pipeline built around real time technology, from concept to final shoot.

I developed the initial concept and worked it into a full storyboard, translating the song into a visual narrative before a single frame was shot. On set, I co-directed alongside Miriam Heidegger. Together we shaped the look and pacing of the video, from blocking and shot design to guiding performances and making the call on takes in the moment. I worked closely with the DP and the virtual production team to keep the real and the virtual world talking to each other.
