SKIN (but not yours) is a short dance film built around contemporary dance, told through a series of scenes that each carry their own narrative while feeding into one larger story. Made for Softcreature Collective, it moves between different emotional registers rather than sticking to a single mood or setting from start to finish.

I directed the film from the ground up. I developed the concept and put together the moodboard that set the visual tone before we ever stepped on set, then translated that into direction on the day itself, giving instructions on camera as well as guiding the dancers through the movement and emotion each scene called for. Bringing the two together, what the camera saw and what the dancers gave it, was the core of the job.
